## Narrative

Employee was trying to get slack in rope on barge at Benwood Harbor when dogs kept catching.  Bent over to pull rope when the dog slipped and struck employee above the eye causing a laceration resulting in 5 sutures. Cause of injury was awareness. Compliance with rules/regs, PPE, mining equip/systems not a factor. Miner proficiency may be a factor.
