Narrative

Employee was installing a 6' bolt on the 4E longwall face under the mesh when a rock rolled out from the binder area striking employee's right middle finger resulting in a laceration. Cause of injury was awareness. Compliance with rules/regs, PPE, mining equip/systems not a factor. Miner proficiency may be a factor.
