## Narrative

Injured was installing a 1"" valve at the end of an extended branch line (off the water line at 15 drive), consisting of multiple short couplers and fittings. When attempting to open the 2"" valve one of the connections failed and the pipe broke off and struck EE in the right cheek (laceration requiring 7 sutures) and the right shoulder (dislocating the shoulder).
