The mine received notification on 10/5/17 that this retired employee has been awarded 0.73% PPD for noised induced hearing loss. The ee was enrolled in a hearing conservation program and was properly trained in use and areas where hearing protection is required. The incident occurred because the ee failed to properly use hearing protection throughout career. *EE retired 6/14/14.
