The mine received notification on 10/26/17 that this retired ee has been awarded 1 % PPD for noised induced hearing loss. The ee was enrolled in a hearing conservation program and was properly trained in the use and areas where hearing protection is required. The incident occurred because the ee failed to properly use hearing protection throughout career. *EE retired 12/31/2014.
