## Narrative

Injured Employee (IE) was torch cutting an approximate 3-inch hole through 3/8-inch steel with refractory behind the steel.  Unknown to IE, a piece of molten metal fell, hit IE's blue jeans and caught left lower pant leg on fire.  IE's coworker noticed and smothered the fire.  The result was an approximate 3-inch diameter second degree burn.
