## Narrative

The shear was cutting up hill at the headgate into the web for the push over. Employee was standing behind the shear at shield #20. The sloughing plate on the shear was in the raised position. Coal and rock was expelled from the face/roof onto the shear and bounced over the sloughing plate and hit employee in the right shoulder and air stream helmet.
