Emp was in 5W, tightening miner plug with spanner wrench when wrench slipped pinching rt thumb resulting in laceration and sutures. Cause of injury was awareness. Compliance with rules/regs, PPE, mining equip/systems not a factor. Miner proficiency may be a factor
