## Narrative

The injured employee was using a ""pick"" hammer to cut the band around a bundle of wooden wedges. As EE was striking the wedges with the point end of the hammer in an attempt to break the band, the point of the hammer struck EE's right thumb causing a laceration requiring 5 sutures. Employee did not violate any laws and is properly trained.
