EE was removing 14""x2"" ball mill flange bolts by cutting heads off the bolt and using another bolt and sledge hammer to drive the bolt out. The bolts weigh approx. 15#. The EE was holding the bolt and the momentum when it released drove hand into an adjacent 3/8"" plug bolt protruding from the mill shell resulting in 3 stitch laceration to top left middle finger.
