Injured employee was lowering a motor using a 1 1/2 ton chain ratchet and unlocked the ratchet to use the wheel to lower the motor. When the motor began to fall, the employee grabbed the chain pulling EE's hand into the ratchet resulting in a laceration that required 7 sutures and fractured the tip of the left index finger.
