Employee was removing cardboard container from powder magazine used to transport pallets of explosive. EE decided to cut it for easier transport to trash bin, in doing so EE's utility knife slipped causing a puncture to left hand in palm area below thumb. Seen site medic, referred to ER two sutures were required no restrictions issued making this a medical reportable.
