Replacing railroad iron on 44LFC4 discharge chute, the steel box covering the outside end of the iron fell off onto the top of the miner's foot. Miner was wearing safety-toed boots, but the ~5""x8"" box fell above the safety toe. Miner had a small puncture wound on the top of the right foot, requiring 2 stitches and a tetanus shot, with minimal swelling or bruising to the foot.
