## Narrative

A fully trained miner was rib strapping when the miner slid their hand down the rib strap on the edge and caused a laceration to the left index finger.  The injury was not the result of any compliance issues nor were any protective guards involved.  The employee was wearing gloves at the time as they were also cut.
