Narrative

On EE's last shift, employee was taking face grade samples at the face using EE's rock hammer. As EE swung the hammer to break off a rock sample the hammer glanced of the rock contacting EE's left index finger causing a laceration/contusion. Seen by site medic, referred to ER, sutures required, full release issued, making this a medical reportable injury.
