Narrative

Employee was struck by a rock while putting together drill steels before beginning to bolt off of the twin boom bolter. The rock fell from the roof and hit the ATRS canopy before striking the employee on the chin, causing a laceration that resulted in four stitches. Compliance with rules/regs, PPE, mining equip/systems not a factor. Miner proficiency not a factor.
