## Narrative

The employee was struck in the cheek with a piece metal shrapnel while loading smaller pieces of scrap metal material into a lug box. EE used a JD350 excavator with a grapple to perform the task. A piece of the material broke off while EE was loading. The shrapnel went through the cab glass, striking the right cheek of the operator which resulted in 10 stitches.
