The belt crew was pulling a mine belt on a unit. While doing so, the sheave wheel broke free causing the steel cable to whip striking the EE on left wrist. Because of swelling, EE was taken to the hospital for x-rays. No fractures were found. EE continued to work, but because of persistent pain, a follow up was done. EE was then taken off of work beginning 1/7/2020.
