Narrative

The worker was striking the head of a bolt with a hammer to unplug a 1 ¼ X 4"" pipe nipple. When the material inside the pipe nipple broke loose the impact of the bolt pinched the thumb of the left hand against the pipe nipple. The worker was transported to the local emergency room and received 5 stitches to the thumb.
