Employee was using a wet down hose to clean off the top of the shearer, when the hose slipped out of EE's hands and struck EE's safety glasses, causing an abrasion around EE's eye. Compliance with rules/regs, PPE, mining equip/systems not a factor. Miner proficiency may be a factor.
