## Narrative

A fully trained miner was standing in front of a pulled shield when the pan line flexed when pushed out and pinched miner's foot between the shield toe and the pan line.  The injury was not the result of any compliance issues nor were any protective guards involved.  Employee continued working ten additional hours of a double shift.
