The injured employee (IE) was performing maintenance on a section of guarding when they placed left arm on an area that was still hot from using the cutting torch. The IE said left arm brushed up against the hot metal and it was enough for the IE to sustain a minor burn to the forearm area. IE was treated at local urgent care clinic and prescribed bactroban antibiotic.
