Employee was shoveling on the 8 South 3 Belt on top the the 41 wall overcast, when their shovel came into contact with the moving belt, which caused the shovel handle to strike left middle finger against the bedrail. Compliance with rules/regs, PPE, mining equip/systems not a factor. Miner proficiency may be a factor.
