Received notification that a belt take-up roller had caught fire due to a bearing failure. The internal bearing failed and frictional heat ignited the bearing grease. Mine employees arrived at the scene and extinguished the grease fire using fire extinguishers and rockdust. There were no injuries associated with this incident. No rules or regulations were violated.
