An unplanned roof fall was discovered at Sugar Run in the return air course 18' outby the # 3 K Seal. The approximate dimensions of the roof fall area is 16' long x 14' wide x 5.5' above the coal seam. The fall was mostly caused by the gradual deterioration of the mine roof. No problems with mining machines, PPE, training, or compliance issues.
