Narrative

While removing backhoe bucket tooth, mechanic struck top of tooth with sledge hammer. A small piece of metal came off the tooth and hit mechanic in right upper thigh and entered their thigh about 1"". Sliver was about 3/4 "" long and 1/16th wide. Metal was stuck in leg required removal at Instacare and 3 stitches.
