The employee was bolting in the #5 entry of the B Right 2 continuous mining section. While preparing to start a drill hole, EE's steel contacted the roof. A piece of immediate roof (approx. 3"" thick by 12"" wide by 27"" long) fell down and struck EE on the forearm causing a contusion.
