Narrative

Miner was dislodging accumulated material in a log washer with a ½"" steel rod measuring approximately 8ft in length, which was inserted through an opening in the expanded metal cover of the feed head box on the log washer. When the material broke free the rod went further down the chute and caused the employees' left hand to strike the metal cover.
