Narrative

Injured employee and a co-worker were loading 10-foot joints of 6-inch pipe (waterline) onto the 7W Longwall Belt. One person on each end of the pipe. As they were tossing a joint onto the belt, the injured lost grip and left arm became smashed between the pipe and the belt structure. They suffered a broken left ulna bone as a result. No regulations were violated.
