## Narrative

Employee was pulling ventilation curtain from beneath the continuous miner pan when the tripped over a hydraulic oil can concealed under the curtain and twisted a foot/ankle. Employee was diagnosed with a Jones fracture of the left 5th metatarsal and underwent surgical repair on January 23, 2026.
