Shear Operator was spotting a shield to catch rock on the LW face, a piece of rock rolled out into the panline and hit the spill board and a piece of rock measuring 54""x14""x3-8"" broke off after striking the spill board and fell into the walkway and struck the the employee on the right side of right foot causing a laceration which required 2 staples to close.
