EE was operating the headgate shearer when a rock came off the drum, hit the handrail then hit EE's leg. This caused the EE to fall on EE's side into the base lift jack. The EE sustained a cut to back of EE's left leg that required 6 sutures and the fall resulted in 2 fractured ribs. Rock was 1'x1'x6""thick.
