Hazards
Sump pumps installed without ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) protection can pose an electric shock or electrocution hazard if touched by the consumer. IF YOU SUSPECT THAT YOU HAVE ONE OF THE RECALLED PUMPS AND IT IS PLUGGED IN, DO NOT TOUCH IT, THE WATER AROUND IT OR THE SURROUNDING FLOOR AREA.

The recall involves Goulds, Red Jacket and Bell & Gossett Pumps used in residential applications to pump wastewater and sewage. The pumps are sky blue or red and display the brand names Goulds, Red Jacket or Bell & Gossett. These pumps were installed in new construction or as replacement pumps between December 2009 and July 2010.
