QUANTITATIVE AND QUALITATIVE DISCLOSURES ABOUT MARKET RISK**\n\n \n\nIn\nthe ordinary course of our operations, we are exposed to certain market risks, primarily changes in foreign currency exchange rates and\ninterest rates.\n\n \n\n**Quantitative\nand Qualitative Disclosure About Market Risk**\n\n \n\nWe\nare exposed to market risks in the ordinary course of our business. Market risk represents the risk of loss that may impact our financial\nposition due to adverse changes in financial market prices and rates. Our current investment policy is to invest available cash in bank\ndeposits with banks that have a credit rating of at least A-minus. Accordingly, a substantial majority of our cash and cash equivalents\nis held in deposits that bear interest. Given the current low rates of interest we receive, we will not be adversely affected if such\nrates are reduced. Our market risk exposure is primarily a result of CAD$/US$ exchange rates as well as ¥/US$ exchange rates, which\nare discussed in detail in the following paragraph.\n\n \n\n**Foreign\nCurrency Risk**\n\n \n\nWe\nare exposed to foreign currency risk as we conduct transactions which give rise to payables and cash balances that are denominated in\nforeign currencies and the fair value or future cash flows of our financial instrument may fluctuate due to movement in foreign exchange\nrates of these foreign currencies. The volatility of exchange rates depends on many factors that we are not able to accurately forecast.\nOur management is closely monitoring our exposure to currency risk and seeks to minimize its exposure to such risk. We were not exposed\nto material foreign currency risk during the years ended December 31, 2024 and 2025."}
