As a result, we operate our relevant business through Guangzhou Huya, the variable interest entity, and its subsidiaries based on a series of contractual arrangements. For a description of these contractual arrangements, see “Item 4. Information on the Company—C. Organizational Structure—Contractual Arrangements with Guangzhou Huya.”\n\nAgreements and Transactions with Tencent\n\nUpon the completion of the issuance of Series B-2 Preferred Shares on March 8, 2018, Tencent became a related party of ours as our major shareholder.\n\n129\n\n[Table of Contents](#TOC)\n\nThe table below provides a summary of our transactions with Tencent for the years ended December 31, 2023, 2024 and 2025:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n**For the year ended December 31, **\n\n\n\n**    **\n\n**2023***\n\n**    **\n\n**2024**\n\n**    **\n\n**2025**\n\n\n\n    \n\n**RMB**\n\n    \n\n**RMB**\n\n    \n\n**RMB**\n\n**    **\n\n**US$**\n\n\n\n\n\n**(in thousands)**\n\nAcquisition under common control*\n\n\n\n574,826\n\n\n\n—\n\n\n\n—\n\n\n\n—\n\nContent costs charged by Tencent\n\n\n\n249,536\n\n\n\n217,527\n\n\n\n346,421\n\n\n\n49,538\n\nOperation support services provided by Tencent\n\n \n\n142,372\n\n \n\n104,318\n\n \n\n85,256\n\n\n\n12,191\n\nGame-related services, advertising and other revenues from Tencent\n\n \n\n118,844\n\n \n\n651,495\n\n \n\n478,152\n\n\n\n68,375\n\nOthers\n\n \n\n6,422\n\n \n\n6,422\n\n \n\n6,217\n\n\n\n889\n\nNote:\n\n*\n\nIn December 2023, we acquired a global mobile application service provider from Tencent Holdings Limited for an aggregate cash consideration of US$81 million (equivalent to RMB574,826 thousand). As this acquisition constituted a business combination under common control, we consolidated the financial results of this mobile application service provider on a retrospective basis since the first quarter of 2022 in accordance with ASC 805, Business Combinations. Accordingly, retrospective adjustments have been made to our consolidated financial information for the year ended December 31, 2022 presented in this annual report, including but not limited to the summary of our transactions with Tencent for the year ended December 31, 2022, reflecting the consolidation of this mobile application service provider. Given that this was a transaction that involved entities under common control of Tencent Holdings Limited, all assets and assumed liabilities transferred have been recognized at the historical cost of the parent. See Note 2(d) to our audited consolidated financial statements included elsewhere in this annual report.\n\nAgreements and Transactions with Entities over which Tencent and/or Huya Have Significant Influence\n\nOn April 3, 2020, Tencent’s related parties became our related parties as a result of Tencent gaining majority voting power in us and consolidating our financial statements.
