This document amends the Customs Regulations relating to drawback in order to conform with changes that were made to the drawback law by the Miscellaneous Trade and Technical Corrections Act of 1999. The amendments concern drawback on packaging material and drawback in connection with the substitution of finished petroleum derivatives. Also, a minor clarification is made to the general manufacturing drawback rulings for piece goods and woven piece goods that appear in an appendix to the Customs drawback regulations in order to conform these general rulings with the regulations.
