Abstract
The Department of the Treasury (Treasury) is issuing this final rule concerning litigation management as part of its implementation of Title I of the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act of 2002 (Act). That Act established a temporary Terrorism Insurance Program (Program) under which the Federal Government will share with commercial property and casualty insurers the risk of insured losses from certified acts of terrorism that occur on or before the date the Program ends, on December 31, 2005. This final rule is the latest in a series of regulations that Treasury has issued to implement the Program and finalizes a proposed rule concerning litigation management related to insured losses under the Program.
