This document amends the Customs Regulations by republishing the list of signatory nations to the 1970 United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import, Export and Transfer of Ownership of Cultural Property. Because of the dissolution of the U.S.S.R. and other political changes in Europe, there have been many changes to the list in recent years. Rather than noting each change, Customs is publishing a new list which replaces the existing list.
