Abstract

This document amends the Customs Regulations to provide that certain containers that are designated as instruments of international traffic are deemed to remain in international traffic provided they exit the United States within 365 days of the date on which they are admitted to the U.S. For the importing community as well as Customs, this amendment greatly simplifies the treatment of containers for Customs purposes regardless of their use in domestic commerce.
