Abstract
This rule implements the Apple Market Loss Assistance Payment Program II (AMLAP-II). The program is designed to provide relief to apple producers for the loss of markets during the 2000 crop year. The payments provided by this rule will offset a portion of the per-bushel losses producers have incurred marketing apples in the U.S. Those eligible will receive an immediate payment to help pay operating expenses and meet other financial obligations.
