Lamb Meat Adjustment Assistance Program

This rule finalizes an interim rule implementing the Farm Service Agency's (FSA) Lamb Meat Adjustment Assistance Program (LMAAP). The program is designed to help restore purchasing power and enable producers to make significant changes in production practices to adjust to import competition by providing financial assistance to sheep and lamb producers who have recently experienced low prices and poor market conditions. On the basis of comments and suggestions received, FSA is making several changes to the program provisions in the interim rule and is adding other provisions.
