Abstract
The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is adding regulations concerning sharing distribution lists from a firm that is recalling meat or poultry products with State and other Federal agencies. This rule will permit FSIS to share with officials of State governments and of other Federal agencies, distribution lists without being compelled to disclose the information to the public under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). This action is necessary for improved public health protection and will facilitate cooperation among regulatory agencies.
