## Abstract

We are adopting as a final rule, without change, an interim rule that amended the animal importation regulations to prohibit the importation of brushtail possums and hedgehogs from New Zealand. This action is necessary to prevent the introduction of tuberculous animals into the United States. The intended effect is to protect domestic livestock from tuberculosis.
