## Abstract

The Federal Grain Inspection Service (FGIS), a program of the Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration (GIPSA), is increasing and establishing new fees charged for inspection services for commodities, other than rice, performed under the Agricultural Marketing Act of 1946 (AMA). These revisions are designed to generate revenue sufficient to cover, as nearly as practicable, the projected operating costs, including related supervisory and administrative costs, for commodity inspection services rendered and to maintain an appropriate operating reserve.
