Abstract

This final rule establishes minimum quality requirements for California olives under Marketing Order 932 and imported olives by replacing grade requirements which have been based on the U.S. Standards for Grades of Canned Ripe Olives (standards). This final rule also revises outgoing inspection requirements and procedures for California olives. This action is expected to result in reduced handling costs, especially inspection costs, and improved consumer satisfaction.
