Abstract
We are amending the imported fire ant regulations by designating as quarantined areas nine counties in Arkansas. This action expands the areas quarantined for imported fire ant and imposes certain restrictions on the interstate movement of regulated articles from those areas. This action is necessary to prevent the artificial spread of the imported fire ant to noninfested areas of the United States.
