Abstract
The Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration (GIPSA) is amending the General Regulations under the Untied States Grain Standards Act, as amended (USGSA), to allow official agencies to provide both official and unofficial weighing within their assigned area of responsibility, but not on the same mode of conveyance at the same facility. This will provide agencies with more flexibility in providing the weighing services needed by the grain industry. Currently, agencies designated by GIPSA to provide official weighing services cannot provide similar unofficial services.
