Abstract
The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC) finalizes the Cotton Crop Insurance Provisions and the Extra Long Staple (ELS) Cotton Crop Insurance Provisions for the 1999 and succeeding crop years to provide a prevented planting coverage level of 50 percent of the insured's production guarantee for timely planted acreage. The intended effect of this action is to create a policy that better meets the needs of the insured.
