## Abstract

The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC) finalizes specific crop provisions for the insurance of onions. The intended effect of this action is to provide policy changes to better meet the needs of the insured by adding provisions that allow flexibility in setting stage guarantees, allow optional units by section, section equivalent or farm serial numbers, modify the termination date for one county in Oregon and one county in Washington, and reduce the production to count for ``damaged onions'' that are subsequently sold. The changes will be effective for the 2000 and subsequent crop years.
