Abstract
We are amending the bovine tuberculosis regulations to allow zones within a State to be assigned different risk statuses and to clarify the conditions for assigning a particular risk status for bovine tuberculosis. We are also amending the regulations to increase the amount of testing that must be done before certain cattle and bison may be moved interstate. These changes are necessary to help prevent the spread of tuberculosis and to further the progress of the domestic bovine tuberculosis eradication program.
